Lightning
Project: Lightning
Lightning is a short film directed and produced Riley Bogren, Brian Perez, and Drew Countess.
A young man deals with the passing of his sister.

Production Sound Mixer
During the production of Lightning I was invited back to reprise my role as a sound mixer, and with the small crew we worked smoothly and efficiently. The most interesting part of the production was standing knee deep in a lake capturing the actor being pushed into the water.
I captured and organized the recorded sound of the film including dialogue, background noise, and room tone. I was also responsible for visiting the filming locations ahead of time to evaluate any potential sound problems, such as excessive background noise.
Boom Operator
In addition to sound mixing, my role also included booming. I had to alternate microphones and other equipment to capture high quality useable audio. This includes operating the boom microphone and ensuring that all audio is recording properly.
